Nestled in the heart of Himachal Pradesh, the Hampta Pass Trek offers an extraordinary blend of lush green valleys, alpine meadows, glacial streams, and barren mountain landscapes. This unique crossover trek takes you from the verdant Kullu Valley to the rugged terrain of Lahaul, showcasing breathtaking contrasts in nature.
Perfect for beginners as well as experienced trekkers, the trail passes through dense forests, colorful wildflower meadows, river crossings, and high-altitude mountain passes before culminating with a visit to the mesmerizing Chandratal Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Himalayas.
Day 1: Manali Arrival | Drive to Jobra | Trek to Chika
Drive: Approx. 45 Minutes | Trek: 2 Km
Arrive in Manali and drive to Jobra, the starting point of the trek. Begin your short trek through beautiful pine forests and meadows to reach Chika campsite.
Overnight Stay: Chika Campsite
Day 2: Chika to Balu Ka Ghera
Trek Distance: 8.5 Km | Duration: Approx. 6 Hours
After breakfast, continue trekking through lush valleys, river crossings, and scenic mountain trails to reach Balu Ka Ghera, a beautiful campsite surrounded by snow-clad peaks.
Overnight Stay: Balu Ka Ghera Campsite
Day 3: Balu Ka Ghera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass
Trek Distance: 7 Km | Duration: Approx. 9 Hours
Today's trek is the highlight of the journey as you cross the magnificent Hampta Pass. Witness the dramatic transition from the green Kullu Valley to the barren landscapes of Lahaul before descending to Shea Goru.
Overnight Stay: Shea Goru Campsite
Day 4: Shea Goru to Chatru | Excursion to Chandratal Lake
Trek: 7 Km | Duration: Approx. 5 Hours
Drive: Chatru to Chandratal – 48 Km | Approx. 3 Hours
Trek down to Chatru and later drive to the breathtaking Chandratal Lake, famous for its crystal-clear waters and spectacular mountain scenery. After sightseeing, return to Chatru.
Overnight Stay: Chatru Campsite
Day 5: Chatru to Manali | Tour Ends
Distance: 63 Km | Travel Time: Approx. 2.5 Hours
After breakfast, drive back to Manali with unforgettable memories of your Himalayan trekking adventure.
